Important Notice:

Honeysuckle Executive Apartments are situated within the Chifley Apartments building. Please be aware that the building signage reads “Chifley.”

  1. Reception Hours
    Reception is open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
    Please note that hours may vary on public holidays.
  2. After-Hours Contact
    For assistance outside of reception hours, please call (02) 49 555 888. Your call will be forwarded to our after-hours support team.
  3. Check-Out Time
    Check-out time is 10:00 AM.
  4. Late Check-Out
    Late check-out is available at the following rates:
  • $20.00 per hour between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM
  • $30.00 per hour between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM

Cancellation Policy

Direct Reservations

The cancellation policy for direct bookings depends on the rate plan selected at the time of booking:

  • Standard Rate: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid charges.
  • Non-Refundable Rate: Payment is non-refundable. However, since you have booked directly with us, we offer the flexibility to change your reservation dates, subject to availability.

Online Travel Agent Reservations

Cancellation policies for third-party bookings also depend on the selected rate plan:

  • Non-Refundable: No refunds or date changes are permitted under any circumstances.
  • Flexible Rate: Any changes or cancellations must be made directly through the travel agent. The property cannot amend or cancel these bookings on your behalf.

Security Bond / Pre-Authorisation

A security pre-authorisation is required upon check-in:

  • Standard Apartments: $150
  • Presidential Suite: $300

For after-hours check-ins, a bond will be charged to your credit card via a secure payment link sent by SMS. The bond will be refunded to the same card within 24 hours of departure, subject to inspection.

What is a Pre-Authorisation?

A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of funds on your credit card. These funds remain frozen in your account and appear as a pending transaction, which may take up to 7 days to be released.

Additional Charges

Excess Cleaning:

If the apartment requires extra cleaning upon departure (e.g., carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning), additional fees will be charged.

Smoking Fee:

A $350 cleaning fee will be applied if smoking occurs inside the apartment.

Damages:

Guests are financially responsible for any damages caused during their stay, including those caused by their invitees. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to furniture, fixtures, and carpets.

Is there wifi?

Each apartment is equipped with its own private internet network. To connect, simply scan the QR code located near the lounge room or bedroom television for instant access. For your convenience, the network name and password are also printed on the QR code label.

Can I ask for an extra sofa or roll-away bed?

Yes, additional sofas and rollaway beds are available upon request for an added fee. The charge is $30 per night for each item. To arrange this service, please contact reception or call our central reservations team during business hours.

How often are rooms serviced?

Our apartments are serviced weekly as part of your stay. Should you prefer more frequent servicing, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Please contact reception for further details.

  • One-Bedroom Apartment: $25.00 per day
  • Two-Bedroom Apartment: $35.00 per day

Can I request fresh towels ?  

For your convenience, each apartment is equipped with a washing machine and dryer, allowing you to launder towels at your leisure. Alternatively, additional housekeeping services can be arranged upon request (charges apply).

If you prefer to exchange towels, reception offers towel replacement during reception hours at the following rates:

  • Bath towel: $2.00 each
  • Bath mat: $1.00 each

Please note that pool and gym towels are not provided. Guests are welcome to use the towels supplied in the apartment for these purposes, then launder them as needed or purchase replacements from the reception desk.

Is there ice available?  

If you require ice, please visit reception during opening hours. Kindly bring a glass with you, and our staff will be happy to assist you.

Is there coffee pods for the expresso machine?  

Each apartment is equipped with either a Nespresso Vertuo or a standard Nespresso coffee machine. Due to the wide variety of available blends and preferences, complimentary coffee pods are not provided in the apartments.

If you would like to purchase coffee pods, please visit the reception desk. Our staff will be happy to advise you on the flavours currently available. Pods are available for purchase at $1.50 each. 

Are water, beverages, spirits & wine available?  

If you would like to have drinks arranged in advance, we are pleased to offer a pre-arrival ordering service. Simply contact reception prior to your check-in and provide your beverage preferences.

Alternatively, a selection of water, soft drinks, spirits, and wine is available for purchase at reception upon arrival or at any time during your stay, during reception hours.

Are chips & chocolates available?  

A selection of chips and chocolates is available for purchase during reception hours.

Pool and Gym

The pool and gym are located on Level 1 and are open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Access to both facilities is secured via a pin code, which is the same as your foyer door code.

Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and no glass containers are permitted in the pool area for safety reasons.

Pool towels are available for collection at reception at a cost of $2.00 per towel. Alternatively, you may use the towels provided in your apartment and launder them after use, as each apartment is equipped with a washing machine.

Airport Transfers

Airport transfers to and from Newcastle and Sydney Airports are available for your convenience. Transfers are provided in a Lexus vehicle to ensure a comfortable and premium experience.

The rates are as follows:

  • Newcastle Airport: $65.00 during reception hours, $75.00 after hours
  • Sydney Airport: $350.00 each way

Additional Bedding or Blankets

Roll away beds and cots are available for hire. Charges apply.

Lost and Found

If you have lost any personal items or have found items that don’t belong to you, please contact reception.

If any lost property is found in your apartment after your departure, we will make every effort to contact you and inform you of the items left behind. Should you be unable to return to collect them in person, we can arrange to have the items posted to you. Please note that postage and handling fees will apply.

Luggage Storage

If you arrive at the property before check-in time and have luggage with you, you are welcome to leave it at the Reception until your room is ready. Likewise, if you are departing Newcastle after the 10:00 AM check-out and prefer not to carry your luggage while sightseeing, the Reception can securely store it for you until your return.

Mail

Guest mail services are provided by Reception. Charges apply for out-going mail. Please advise Reception if you are expecting mail and it will be delivered to your room.

Food Deliveries  

For security and privacy reasons, food delivery personnel are not permitted access to apartment levels. Guests are kindly asked to meet their delivery driver at Reception upon arrival.

Basic Functions of the Daikin AC Remote

  1. Power On/Off
  • Button: ON/OFF
  • Use: Press once to turn the unit on. Press again to turn it off.
  1. Selecting the Operation Mode
  • Button: MODE
  • Cycle through modes:

    AUTO: Automatically adjusts between cooling and heating based on the room temperature.

    COOL: Cools the room to the set temperature.

    HEAT: Warms the room (only on heating models).

    DRY: Reduces humidity in the room.

    FAN: Circulates air without heating or cooling.

  1. Adjusting Temperature
  • Buttons: ▲ and ▼ (usually near a temperature display)
  • Use: Increase or decrease the set temperature. Recommended setting:

    Cooling: 22–24°C

    Heating: 20–22°C

  1. Fan Speed Control
  • Button: FAN
  • Options: LOW / MED / HIGH / AUTO
  • Use: Adjusts how fast the air flows from the unit.
  1. Swing Control
  • Button: SWING or LOUVER
  • Use: Turns the air direction swing on or off. Press repeatedly to set the direction of the airflow (up/down).

Additional Tips

  • Check the display screen on the remote to confirm your settings.
  • Batteries: If the remote becomes unresponsive, check and replace the batteries.
  • Reset: Some models include a small RESET button (use a pin or paperclip to press).

Dishwasher

Dishwasher Use Instructions

A dishwasher is provided in the kitchen for your convenience. Please follow the steps below to ensure safe and proper use:

How to Use the Dishwasher

  1. Prepare the Dishes
    1. Remove food scraps and rinse dishes before loading.
    2. Load dishes carefully, ensuring they are securely placed and not obstructing the spray arms.
  2. Add Detergent
    1. Add dishwasher powder or tablet to the designated compartment.
  3. Start the Dishwasher
    1. Turn the power button
    2. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
    3. Close the door firmly.
    4. Select your desired wash program:
      Heavy, Normal, Normal Eco, Fast, Delicate, or Rinse.
    5. Press Start.
  4. After the Wash
    1. Once the cycle is complete, open the door slightly and leave it ajar to assist with drying.
    2. Allow the dishes to cool, then unload carefully.

Important Safety Information

  • Do not fully open the dishwasher door mid-cycle, as this may result in hot water spray. If you need to pause the cycle, wait until the spray arms stop rotating before opening the door slightly.
  • If the dishwasher has already heated the water and the cycle is paused, leave the door ajar for several minutes before fully closing again. This prevents steam pressure from forcing the door open unexpectedly.

Before You Leave

Please ensure all dishes are removed from the dishwasher, dried, and returned to the cupboards before vacating the apartment.

Toiletries

On arrival, your room will have a starter pack of toiletries, amenities and supplies. Please be aware that charges may apply if you require additional items.

Hairdryers

Hairdryers are wall mounted in the bathroom.

Iron and Ironing Board

An iron and ironing board is located in your apartment for your convenience.

Laundry

A washing machine and dryer are located in your apartment.

Crockery and Cutlery

Please ensure all crockery, cutlery, cookware and glassware are washed, removed from the dishwasher, and returned to the cupboards.

A cleaning fee of $50 will apply if any unwashed items are left in the apartment upon your departure.

No items are to be removed from the apartment, and all breakages must be paid for.

Baby Cots and Linen

Cots and baby linen are available for hire. Please contact Reception.

Balconies

No items are to be kept on the balcony other than the supplied outdoor furniture. Please do not hang laundry or towels over the balcony as it is against the by-Laws and fines may be imposed.

A cashcard ARM is located at 11 Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle. There are also auto tellers located within the Honeysuckle Hotel on the waterfront.
